If you are asked to report and are not assigned to a courtroom for a jury selection by the end of that day, your service is completed. If you're lucky, it might just last you one whole day. Can I call at 7pm to know or do I have to wait till 6am? I really don't want to have to wake up at 6am every single day for Jury duty.
